I was a 3-Starbucks-a-day kind of a gal. Now, I'm a cheapskate.
My frugal philosophy is simple :
-
Keep it simple & make whatever I can.
-
Buy quality, not quantity.
-
Stock up on what I do use so I don't pay a convenience mark-up.
-
Think before I buy, then think again.
-
Coupons don't control what I buy;I want to buy what I need and that's it.

My Story:
I started this blog/magazine as a way to share what I learn about living well on less and to also learn from you folks out there.
I'm staying at home right now to take care of my young son "J" and haha- three elderly cats. It's been a wonderfully enriching experience. My husband (a wonderfully devoted teacher) and I had a whirlwind romance: I ended up moving from Vermont to Southern New England in the blink of an eye. I got an excellent job – we got engaged…. We booked the caterer…. We found out I was pregnant (a miracle for us) – we got married – I had to quit said job due to exhaustion (60+ hours a week at 6 months pregnant) – and we had baby J.
I have found myself really thinking differently about money and budgets. Things I once thought were absolutely necessary to my very survival aren't so important anymore. I want to share with you some of the ideas and tips I come up with or come across while surfing the internet ocean in my spare time. I also really want to hear from you – what innovative, ordinary, odd or brilliant ideas and tips do you have to share about being a "cheapskate"?
Cheers!
