No Ice Cream Maker Required
by Hannah Walton aka The Cheapskate Mom
Having lived in Burlington, Vermont for so long! – the hometown of Ben and Jerry’s aka the most incredible ice cream ever (a company that started with a very DIY mind set) – I love ice cream and have always wanted to make my own ice cream. That being said, I have never been able to justify the cost of an ice cream maker with the fact that ice cream , though delicious, really isn’t that great for the waist line.
Major Mom is to the rescue with her awesome post and description of an ice cream she discovered that you can make using …. coffee cans. That’s right – coffee cans (which is particularly exciting to me as you may know – I’m a die hard coffee freak)! Making ice cream is such a wonderful summer activity – perfect for an olde-fashioned ice cream social, fun day with the kids and the ultimate frugal and fun activity for a birthday party. Thanks, Major Mom!
