Making Hand Soap is Easy

Did you know you can make foaming hand soap using liquid hand soap? You can even make your own liquid hand soap. I know it's not the most exciting article – but the cost of hand soap adds up fast – and by making foaming soap or even liquid soap – you can have the luxury of liquid hand soap for less ! In this article I will talk about three ways to save money on hand soap , in order from easy to most difficult.

Easy : Make Foaming Hand Soap Using Store Bought Liquid Soap

You can easily make foaming hand soap using liquid soap , if you have a foaming hand soap dispenser. I bought mine from Wal-Mart (the Equate brand) and it was already full of soap – and only cost $ 1.97 …. When it was empty , I refilled it by making my own foaming soap : I filled the dispenser with water first. Then I put two tablespoons of liquid hand soap in. Then I screwed everything back together and I shook really hard for a couple minutes. Easy, Peasy, Cheap all the way. It's my new favorite money saving tip!

 

Medium: Make Liquid Hand Soap Using the Microwave

Using a cheese grater you don't use anymore (or buy a new one at Wally World) – shred a bar of soap into three cups of water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for three minutes and then stir. Allow to cool , then pour into a container, then make foaming hand soap using the directions above!
Tip: Add a few drops of essential oil
 

 

Difficult: Make Liquid Hand Soap on the Stove Top

 

Grate one bar of soap into a designated pot and add three cups of water. Stirring frequently, melt over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat, stir, allow to cool and pour into a container , then make foaming hand soap using the directions above!

PS: If you want to get fancy, you can add LEGOS to your soap!
