Pore Skin Care for the Poor …. Sorry guys : I couldn’t help but make that pun! Sometimes I go days and weeks thinking of the worst puns possible – I even annoy myself after a while
Despite the pun, I am poor and I care about my pores. What’s a girl to do?
My ultimate frugal pore care tip is twofold : work out in the morning. Even just five minutes (that’s all I did today) on my mini stepper gets my circulation going and the sweat ( yuck, i know) cleans out my poor pores ( i said it again, sorry). After my pores are nice and open (yuck again) I wash my face with cold water. The cold water closes my pores and gives my face a nice, healthy glow that blush just can’t fake. I’ve also read that eating more fruit (aka vitamin c) can do wonders for your skin but don’t quote me on it as I’ve never been a fruit fan (though I do now drink a smoothie every morning).
I used to buy and use those awesome Biore Pore Strips all of the time – whenever I felt I needed a quick facial treatment. Now that I’m on such a restricted budget, I’ve been rationing out my pore strips for serious skin emergencies ( I’ve had the same box for over a year now). Needless to say, I was completely over the moon to discover Adrienne from Crafty Little Gnome’s awesome recipe for homemade, diy pore strips you can make yourself!
