Real Kids Shades : Baby Sunglasses Review & Giveaway

by Hannah Walton aka The Cheapskate Mom

About Real Kids Shades:
Real Kids Shades are quality sunglasses sold at an affordable price. As a cheapskate, I'm just as big on quality as I am on price : a cheap item can become really expensive fast if you need to keep replacing it – ask me about my 10+ vacuum cleaner saga in my early 20's !

Real Kids Shades are  100% UVA/UVB protective, shatterproof, impact-resistant and adaptable for sports. The bands are adjustable and affixed with velcro – making taking these adorable glasses on and off a breeze.  They also float in water !! Adjustable bands means these glasses grow with your baby : the baby glasses grow to 24 months – and the toddler glasses grow to five years. Awesome!!!

Real Kids Shades has partnered with Prevent Blindness America to educate families about the importance UV protection plays in eye safety. Real Kids Shades have provided us with a free mini book about protection your children's safety – you can download it by clicking here. I learned a great deal about how to protect my son's eyes by using the right glasses and being aware of the threat sun damage poses! Thanks, Real Kid Shades!!!

My Review:
The folks at Real Kids Shades sent me three incredible pairs of sunglasses to test on my son, in exchange for my honest review. I was super excited because as a new Mom – I am concerned about sun protection as we stay pretty active and are outdoors a lot! For the review, we recieved these awesome products:

Sunhat combo in blue (a perfect baby shower gift)

My First Shades in the adorable green frogs pattern

 Extreme Element Shades in Navy

Quality Baby Sunglasses:

Getting these on and off the little guy is a breeze. The band is adjustable so there is no screaming or outrage from the little one : just a happy baby who can't believe his world just became tinted! They are comfortable for him – there aren't any pointy or sharp edges : Real Kids Shades are designed for overly-protective moms like me in mind!

Having read through the Real Kids Shades before I got the glasses to try – I was expecting quality shades – and that's exactly what these adorable glasses are. I threw one pair across the room to give them a true, old-fashioned product test – these glasses did not break  and will hold up when the little guy becomes more dextorous!

Plus, they look absolutely adorable on him. He's officially the coolest baby on the block :)

The sunhat folds up into a case and fits the little guy's big noggin perfectly – the adjustable strap is soft and keeps the hat in place no matter what… love it!

Buy It:
Real Kids Shades are available for sale online and prices start at just $14.99 a pair. These are an awesome, off-the-beaten path gift to buy for someone who is having a baby close to summer time , especially if, like me – they like to spend a lot of time outdoors!

Win It:
One lucky winner will receive the pair of Real Kids Shades of choice. Must be 18+ and live within the US or Canada. See terms and conditions for additional information and Good Luck!

    love the flex because:
    What’s so great about these:

Rubberized frames, so kids can’t snap them in two. Bendable is good.Small but important differences: Sleek boy shapes and bigger, Jackie-O style girl shapes.Every pair comes with a removable neoprene strap.

I like that the glasses wrap around the whole eye area-no gaps-and they still look cool for little munchkins  :)

I guess I’m naive and didn’t realize that a lot of children’s sunglasses are sold
as toys and clearly don’t protect your protect children’s eyes from UV radiation.

I really like the Blue Butterfly Infant Shades.
