Some friends of mine were recently complaining about the hefty price of a quality preschool for their son. With resignation they said, “What can we do? We just have to pay it….”. I know, however, that they don’t have a lot of money and that affording preschool pushed them even further into debt. That got me thinking …. why start your own DIY preschool with some other moms you really trust… and save a bundle ?! Rotate days and activity/lesson ideas and maybe even locations! Save a bunch of money that is probably better put to use staying in the family savings account – be it for an emergency or college. Luckily for home preschoolers, we live in the age of the internet – so there are lots of fantastic online resources for starting a DIY preschool of your own.
I’ve compiled a list of some great online resources for making your own preschool program:
Preschool Home Activities : Great site with lots of ideas to inspire you with a focus on both indoor and outdoor home preschooling ideas.
How To Start A PreSchool Co-Op : Ideas for starting a co-operative based preschool of your own!
Pre-School Crafts: A Wonderful selection of pre-school crafts and ideas from songs to felt boards to story stations!
Living Montessori Now : Start a Montessori curriculum with the help of Deb’s brilliant ideas !
