Throw a Home Party Sponsored by a Company Series # 1

Throw a house party and try out new products with your friends – for free!
Perhaps you’ve been to one of the jewelery, passion or book parties that have been all the rage lately? Have you been to a company sponsored party yet? Companies , from time to time, sponsor what they call “house parties” or “home parties” to spread the word about new products they’d like people to try and learn about through word of mouth. It’s a way for companies to create some buzz about new items, and it’s a way for the frugal minded set to have a fun themed party with freebies as party favors for all of the guests.
So – how do you get a house party of your own?
Start here:
there is an absolutely wonderful website called HouseParty that lists new parties as they are announced and allows you the chance to apply for them after filling out a survey.
the more times you spread the word using your online social network (twitter, google+ or facebook) the better your chances at getting a houseparty approved as you spreading the word about their product, which is what the company would like.
after you are approved (YAY!) to host a home party showcasing the new products a company is rolling out, you will receive a package in the mail containing party favors ( for example – if it is sponsored by a pizza company you might receive enough pizza cutters for everyone!) and coupons (for example – coupons for free frozen pizzas for everyone!).
The party is held on the same day across the country. It will be up to you to invite your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to attend the party on that day and to help spread the word about whichever product you are promoting and trying out.
I hope this post was helpful – I have some ideas to make house parties even more fun – that will come next in the series!
